Method of Learning
Active Learning
The basis of our approach to teaching is simply to encourage people to talk and improve their spoken English, as this is the only skill that cannot be successfully practised alone. "Active learning" is our motto.
Active learning means that you apply the language structures, grammar and vocabulary you know and learn with us to communication-based activities. The objective is to allow you to gain greater fluency and confidence when speaking English.
At the English Language Institute, you will not just sit in front of a computer or read lengthy texts. This passive learning is important, but can be done just as easily at home. Our experience in English language teaching shows us that the overwhelming majority of people come to a language school because they want to improve their spoken English above all.
As your language partner and consultant, we endeavour to provide the right environment for you to develop your linguistic skills, so that you no longer struggle to find the right words. Our lessons are student centred and led by qualified teachers, all of whom are native speakers.
We have a wide range of teaching materials at our disposal, including the latest publications and CDs, and ensure that our teachers can work in professional conditions, using the necessary supplementary material and equipment they require to complement their lessons plans.
